KOWR's national stand at SIAL PARIS fair in France.

The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) has taken part in the largest European food fair SIAL PARIS 2018. The show was organized on 21-25 October in Paris (France).

SIAL PARIS takes place every two years and is among the largest global food fairs. It is a leading event on the French food market, offering its participants an opportunity of international expansion. SIAL PARIS serves as an inspiration for the global food industry. A record-breaking number of 7200 exhibitors and 310 thousand representatives of various industries participated in this edition of the show, whereas about 200 of them were exhibitors from Poland. The surface of the event totaled 250 000 m2 and provided room for the promotion of over 400 thousand products. The organizers estimate that this year the show was visited by 160 thousand people.

The Polish stand was organized by the KOWR as part of the promotion programme for Polish food specialties under the sub-measure 3.3.2. ‘Promotion of Polish economy based on Polish brandsPolish Economy Brand – Go to Brand’ of the Intelligent Development Operational Programme (POIR).

As an institution dedicated to the promotion of Polish agri-food products on international markets under the slogan ‘Poland tastes good’, the KOWR organized a Polish national stand for the fourth time at SIAL PARIS. This years’ stand of 310 m2 included 36 sub-exhibitors – Polish food producers presenting a wide array of food products. Their offer included confectionery, fruit and vegetables, beverages, milk products, mushrooms, nuts, fruit and vegetable preparations as well as honey. Cooking shows were organized every day at the Polish stand, presenting Poland as a both traditional and culinarily advanced country.

During the fourth day of the show, the entrepreneurs present at the Polish stand were visited by Mr Tomasz Młynarski, the Ambassador of Poland to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco.

SIAL PARIS is one of the largest and the most prestigious food fairs in the world. The show is so popular that over a half of its stalls is already booked until 2020.
