The ANUGA fair is the most important exhibition event in the food sector all over the world, and is held every two years. The objective of the fair is to facilitate cooperation among entities operating in the food sector worldwide. The fair is also a gateway to the EU market, and enjoys an excellent reputation. During this year’s edition of the fair, more than 7,500 exhibitors from 106 countries presented their goods, while the number of visitors reached 170,000.
The ANUGA fair is also a special event for Polish companies, as Germany is the largest outlet market for Polish food producers among all EU countries. This year’s edition of the fair was attended by more than 200 exhibitors from Poland, including all the leading national companies representing all corners of the food sector.
With a total area of 190 m2, the Polish national stand was located in two places: in the ANUGA Fine Food sector in hall 11.1 and in the ANUGA Drinks sector, hall 8. Twenty Polish food producers presented their product range at the stand, including, inter alia: sweets, cereal products, organic beverages and juices, healthy snacks, fruit and functional food.
Throughout the entire fair, the Polish stand in the ANUGA Fine Food area organised cooking shows combined with a tasting of traditional Polish dishes and snacks, whose aim was to familiarise the visitors with the culinary tradition and culture of Poland. On the other hand, on the ANUGA Drinks stand the visitors could taste freshly squeezed juices made from Polish fruit and vegetables.
In addition, the Polish national stand featured a B2B meeting zone, which was also used by many Polish companies not participating in the national stand.
The tremendous interest shown in the products offered by the Polish exhibitors as well as the numerous business meetings conducted by the Polish companies during the fair lasting until 9 October all go to prove that this year’s edition of the ANUGA fair was a great success. Another edition of the fair will be held in 2021.
